Understanding stakeholders’ preferences and creating support for sustainable forest trajectories
Understanding stakeholders’ preferences and creating support for sustainable forest trajectories

As part of a behavioral science analysis, Ann-Kathrin Kößler and Lennart Stangenberg from Leibniz University Hannover identify the key stakeholders and their interests in resilient forest ecosystems in Lower Saxony. Through interviews and participatory workshops, they will examine existing attitudes and co-develop local solution pathways. Economic experiments will clarify preferences for forest traits and functions. This evidence will inform the design of behavioral strategies and policy approaches aimed at strengthening societal support and cooperation for these vital transformations.
