There will also be new Climate Future Labs in 2026. The sixth Climate Future Lab, which was announced last year, received numerous high-quality applications, which are currently being reviewed. The focus here is on developing strategies to make rural areas more resilient to the effects of climate change. The launch of this sixth Climate Future Lab is planned for summer 2026.

And: The call for applications for another Climate Future Lab will follow in the course of the year. In terms of content, it will set new priorities and broaden the thematic horizon of the Climate Future Labs. No further details will be revealed at this stage.
